Kerry Malak of UniversaLink will cover assistive technology, signaling devices and the new CapTel telephone. Diane Contreras, staff audiologist will be discussing FM systems and improving listening with Cochlear Implants. Please plan to attend! This will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about how to live independently with deafness and hearing loss, as well as how to expand your hearing capabilities with the cochlear implant thru the use of assistive devices, including telephones and FM systems. This presentation will conclude with a discussion and sharing of what individual users have found useful as well as time for questions and answers for our presenters.

Kerry Malak is the General Manager of Universalink, the assistive technology program at the Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CDHH). In addition to coordinating community outreach for CDHH, UniversaLink provides personal technology consultations, in-home services, worksite assessments and hearing loss awareness workshops.
